Longer fermentation means a smoother and more complex cigar! When manufacturers are fermenting and aging their tobacco they are trying to remove the oils from the leaf. As the tobacco ages and ferments it naturally loses both nicotine and ammonia content which means a more mild and less spicy cigar. These aging processes allow for subtle flavor and nuance to develop!
