As a content creator (in the US), we fall into the trap of “North American” centricity.

We make content that makes sense to us from our cultural standpoint, and very often, miss the opportunity to talk to wider audiences outside of what we know.

This can happen in any country, where you target people that are similar to you, and create content for people who’s day to day lives emulate yours.

And this is fine, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

But to truly be a global citizen, and coincidentally, tap into a much larger audience, start to think how you could create content that speaks to another demographic, culture, or country.

If it seems like a daunting task, don’t overthink it, do what Mr. Beast did, and translate your existing content into different languages and push it out to different communities.

You may be surprised at how well it resonates with different audiences.
