Xotik XC324 Mini Track Racers - $80 RC Gift Idea?

This was a pleasant surprise! The Xotik XC324 Mini Track Racer semi-truck is a well built little RC. At first glance I wasn't onboard with it, but after seeing it perform, I changed my mind and even ordered another one. Xotik is a new RC company and this is definitely geared toward the Kyosho Mini-Z and Tamiya mini fans. However, it can play in both sandboxes as it has proportional steering. I like to drive, so I prefer running it on a Min-Z style track. Can't wait to get the second one and race them.

To clarify my point on the Tamiya Mini 4wd or Tamiya Mini 4x4, I was stream of consciousness talking and spit out that they were mainly in straight tracks and you just do throttle control. I was blending slot cars and the Tamiya Mini 4wd options together in my head. On slot cars you do throttle control, the Tamiya minis you just turn them on and they have power, so you basically just tune them and the rails keep them going the right direction. This car allows you to run it as an RC and have proportional steering to drive it wherever you want. So you could run in in a Tamiya Mini track with the dividers and drive it straight and use throttle control or drive in on a Kyosho Mini-z track. It's basically creating a blend that can be used on the Mini-z or Mini 4wd tracks that hobby shops may already have in them.
