The lucky fighter, of the 3rd Assault Brigade, captured his narrow escape during battles somewhere to the south of Bakhmut. Video shows the machine-gunner opening fire on Russian troops. Before a shell lands just feet from the foxhole where he is hiding. Having survived the blast, he pops back up to continue firing. Just a few seconds later he is shot in the chest by the Russians. However, his bullet-proof vest stopped the round from killing him. Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade is leading the fight around Bakhmut. Zelensky says troops are making advances south of the city.
