Texas police officer and suspect killed in a shooting

In the early hours of Saturday, a Texas police officer lost their life in a shooting incident that resulted in the death of the assailant and left another officer injured, as confirmed by authorities.

Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson, visibly emotional and occasionally pausing to compose herself during a news conference, shared that two additional individuals were discovered dead within a residence in Austin.

Henderson recounted that officers received a distress call from a woman screaming about a stabbing at the residence shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Prior to the officers’ arrival, one person managed to escape the home and informed the police that an armed man with a knife was inside, the Associated Press reported.
