Lesson 2 of the Tai Chi Yang Style 108 form presented by Dr. Todd Martin. This lesson will look at Single Whip. Each lesson will begin with a demonstration of the 108 Form from the beginning through to the technique being reviewed in the current lesson. Then a step-by-step review of the movements. This is follow by a detailed look at the core muscle action for each movement using Dr. Martin's Direction-Root-Power System. The lesson will end with a review of which of the Tai Chi 8 Energies is being used during each section of the movement. For a more detailed discussion of my personal analysis of the 8 Energies and how they correlate with the core movements reviewed in the lesson, check out this video. In this series I am keeping the discussion limited only because most people will probably not be interested in the subject.
