Sir Bobby Charlton's funeral | Manchester United legends, fans and royalty bid a final farewell

Former Manchester United stars paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton on Monday as the club legend was laid to rest at Manchester Cathedral.

William, Prince of Wales, Sir Alex Ferguson and England manager Gareth Southgate were amongst those paying their respects at Monday's service.

Sir Bobby's funeral procession wound its way past Old Trafford - and thousands of applauding United fans - en route to Manchester Cathedral.

In 758 appearances for the 'Red Devils', Sir Bobby scored 249 goals and led the team to three league titles, a European Cup triumph in 1968 and an FA Cup win in 1963.

Sir Bobby, who also won the World Cup with England in 1966, passed away on 21st October following a fall at the nursing home where he was receiving care for dementia.
