Feeding the local bees

It's getting below freezing at night but still into the 60's and 70's during the day. This is a tough place for European honey bees. There are a few species of native bee flies here which are pretty cool too.
I put this feeder out to help the local bees get through the winter. My hope is that if they thrive there is a greater likelihood that they will swarm in the spring and I may be able to gather that swarm into a hive. It's a long shot.
