Paul Murphy - mini-set 12.11.2023

The intention was to play a mini-set, going, as a slight 'theme', from a song of personal despair into a song of wider external issues, and ending on a song of hope, my daughter's beautiful poem 'Where Does The Sun Go To At Night?'

As ever when I play more than one song at a time, things change, and, I have no idea from where, I suddenly launched into 'All One World', a song I hadn't played in at least 20 years, and indeed, this is the only-ever recorded cut of it, I never made even a demo of it so far as I know, let alone a studio cut.

I stumbled on a couple of the lyrics of 'All One World' - unsurprising - and I lost the ending when my attention got taken by the video playing behind me, but the ending is basically a coda, which goes "All one world/With room for everyone/Lay down your prayer book/Lay down your gun//All one world/Gathered underneath the sun/How long until we realise/That he she you and I are one".
