Denver — A person was caught on camera driving a Chrysler 300 through a fenced area of a sidewalk at the 16th Street Mall in Denver, then crashing into another car and driving off with flat tires. 9NEWS obtained footage of the Nov. 3 hit-and-run from Devon Wittstruck, who said he was on his way to dinner when he saw the car parked where the sidewalk crosses 16th Street.

According to Wittstruck, Denver Police didn't get to the scene until 15 minutes after the driver left. “Obviously, it is the textbook definition of a hit-and-run," Wittstruck said. A spokesperson for the Denver Police Department said they aren't able to share more information about this case as it is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
