“Shitecago” Sucks So Bad Illegals Are Fleeing Back to Venezuela After Being Dumped in Shelters

Chicago has witnessed an unexpected trend as migrants, who were initially sent to the city from Texas, are now choosing to return to Venezuela due to challenging conditions. Approximately 20,700 migrants arrived in Chicago from Texas since August of the previous year, with the relocation orchestrated by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, targeting Democrat-run cities known as 'sanctuary cities' for their protective stance toward undocumented migrants.

However, the harsh winters, inadequate migrant infrastructure, and lukewarm local support in Illinois have prompted some migrants to reconsider their decision and head back home. One such case is that of Michael Castejon, a 39-year-old Venezuelan who, along with his family, faced difficulties in Chicago. They found themselves sleeping on the floors of police stations and shelters after struggling to pay rent due to delays in receiving their work permit.

While the family initially benefited from a city voucher program offering up to $15,000 for six months of rental assistance, the assistance eventually ran out, leading them to lose their living space. Despite Michael finding work in construction, the cash income proved insufficient to sustain their family's needs since their arrival in June. The challenging circumstances in Chicago have prompted some migrants to reconsider their options and return to their home countries.
