A band of bell-ringers have broken their own world record for continuous ringing with 25,000 sound changes over 16 hours.
Leader Michael Wilby said the 12-strong group were not even allowed toilet breaks, food or water as they chimed away at St Anne's parish church on Alderney.
The bells were fitted with a new sound control system to save islanders the pain of hearing the bells for so long.
