Stand4THEE Friday Night Zoom Nov 10th 2023 - Wow, What a Zoom!

This was a very interesting Friday Zoom!

Given all the events that took place in the Friday Night Zoom, LOTS OF SURPRISES! We are going to reschedule a more in-depth presentation on jury v judge at a later date.

The original plan for the Zoom was to discuss the pros/cons between judge and jury as theory. This was in response to Pat King's recent decision to drop the jury and go back to a judge. While we had some information regarding his case, we were limited in our knowledge of why the sudden change in direction.

To our surprise, Pat joined us to give his side of the story. Unfortunately, due to the publication ban we did not record that part of the Zoom at Pat's request.

One of the main purposes of the decision to move back to a judge was the incredible amount of evidence that was brought forward by the Crown, and the ongoing trial with Chris Barber and Tamar Lich. The position that Pat and his lawyer are taking is to see what comes of these trials. One of the cons of a jury trial, one cannot stop/ or pause the proceeding. Once it starts it continues until it is completed. With a judge you can adjourn the trial and schedule another time to continue. After learning this information, it sheds light on the situation.

We were then surprised by a few other guests who joined us. Michael Jackson (yes, a real man) who was charged with kidnapping for refusing to vaccinate his daughter and Dale Richardson of the Karis Project joined us. We have yet to explore in more detail Michael and Dale's stories and will share what we learn when we can.
