Oklahoma Senate Education Committee, April 4, 2022, Hearing HB3374, "Community Schools"

ROPE fought HB3374 - a bill to allow the state government to help fund Community Schools in Oklahoma. We did research and wrote an informative 1-pager, which we sent out to other Senators on the Senate Education Committee (https://www.scribd.com/document/596673785/What-Are-Some-Concerns-With-Community-Schools). Senator Pemberton took exception to our efforts - even though we spoke with him privately first, before sending any information out to his collogues. Former Senator Jake Merrick (R) spoke against the bill and Senator Carrie Hicks (D) spoke for it.
