'Growth in Decay (Blue Skull)' Original Art Painting Timelapse 11-12-23

Part two of a 2-part series of mushroom-skull paintings I created live on Rumble. Both Skulls and Mushrooms are symbols which fascinate me so I combined them in these two paintings. In many ways they work together as skulls are often symbolic of death, and mushrooms necessarily grow from decay, preparing the ground for new life to begin. I believe in the value of certain mushrooms for healing purposes, and in the past they have caused powerful and positive life changing and creative experiences for me. I am not advocating for anyone to take drugs, but I think our society needs to fundamentally reevaluate its relationship to important medicines which could help many segments of the population heal, and I continue to follow the research into psychedelic medicine with extreme curiosity and excitement.
