Hagia Sophia (officially known as Hagia Sophia Mosque) or formerly Hagia Sophia Church (Greek: Ἁγία Σοφία), is a historical building located in the Fatih District of Trabzon.

It was a monastery church built in the Middle Ages, close to the sea and on a hilly land. Trebizond is considered the best preserved monument of the Greek Empire that has survived to the present day. It has an extraordinary architecture where Byzantine provincial style, Georgian onion dome and Seljuk stonemasonry are used in harmony.

Hagia Sophia, one of the churches dedicated to Holy Wisdom during the Trebizond Empire, was used for different functions throughout history. It was a mosque in the 16th or 17th century, a military headquarters, a hospital, a warehouse during the Russian occupation during World War I; Then it became a mosque again; It was converted into a museum in 1964. The building lost its function as a museum in 2013 and was reopened for worship as a mosque.
