Former BCSO deputy faces assault charges as newly released dashcam footage is released

Dashcam footage of the former deputy with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office facing criminal charges in connection with an arrest he conducted in 2022 was released by BCSO Friday.

Randal Morris Timmons, 61, is charged with assault and battery in the third degree. Timmons was charged on Oct. 20 and booked at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center, according to SLED.

In the newly released video, Timmons can be seen tasering the suspect in the chest and then kicking the suspect when he drops to the ground.

It can also be seen that Timmons then handcuffed the suspect and pulled him up by his hair.
