Rowan Atkinson's eccentric invention Mr Bean is a global phenomenon, having been distributed in over 200 countries and having been in continuous distribution in many of them for over 20 years. The program, which is now accessible in HD, follows Mr Bean as he attempts to get himself out of awkward situations but only ends up getting himself into more trouble. Mr Bean has received six prizes, including the Montreux Golden Rose and an International EMMY, and is written by some of the UK's top comedic writers, including Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill) and Ben Elton (Blackadder, The Young Ones).
