“Boys Will Be Bugs” is the first track of the split EP Animal Kingdom: Comet.

This song is about the toxic masculinity toward teenage boys that is portrayed in society. Robbie recognizes that he doesn’t fit in with this stereotype. He doesn’t wanna be mean and bully anyone; he just wants to play with bugs.

Robbie’s also known to prefer being friends with girls. This is a theme that shows up during the second verse of the song.
