1985 - Original Demo for 'The Ballad of the Monon Bell'

Nancy Ford recorded this on a cassette, presumably at her piano in New York City. She wrote the melody, Darel Lindquist penned lyrics, and Jimmy Ibbotson eventually recorded the final version in Nashville. Ken Owen found this cassette in 2009 and put this together. The song celebrates the football rivalry between DePauw University and Wabash College.
