Breaking: UK judges have ordered that an infant must be removed from life support as the parents desperately plead to be allowed treatment at the Vatican.

8-month-old Indi Gregory must be removed from her ventilator which will surely kill her ruled Justice Robert Peel.

The Italian government has granted citizenship to the child so she may receive continued treatment however UK judges are refusing an appeal, saying the infant must be taken off life support immediately.

Indi Gregory suffers from a degenerative mitochondrial disease which will likely kill her.

Vatican leadership and the Italian government has readied resources for treatment at a hospital in Rome but at the moment, it seems unlikely she will be allowed to receive continued care.

"Claire and I have always wanted what is in Indi's best interests. She has human rights and we wanted her to have the best treatment possible," said Indi's father.

"If the UK did not want to fund it, why can she not go to Italy and receive the treatment and care which the amazing Italian Prime Minister and government has offered."

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni completely supports the transfer and approved citizenship for Indi.

"They say there isn't much hope for little Indi, but until the very end, l'll do what I can to defend her life, and to defend the right of her mamma and papa to do all that they can for her," Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said.
