Description:
This Book is published by Historical Books Limited (www.publicdomain.org.uk) as a Public Domain Book.
Coelho has long been a supporter of illegal downloads of his works, ever since a pirated edition of The Alchemist was posted in 1999.

Paulo Coehlo was born on the 24th of August 1947 in Rio de Janeiro and is a Brazilian novelist. Since The Alchemist, he has published 30 more novels including The Fifth Mountain, Love Letters from a Prophet, Fathers Sons and Grandsons and The Witch of Portobello.

After quitting law school to fulfill his passions instead, Paulo worked as an actor journalist and theatre director before leaving his lucrative career as a songwriter to pursue his writing full-time.
While trying to overcome his procrastination about launching his writing career, Coelho decided, "If I see a white feather today, that is a sign that God is giving me that I have to write a new book." Seeing one in the window of a shop, he began writing that day!

In 1986, Coelho walked the 500-plus mile Road of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain. While on this journey, Paulo had a spiritual awakening, which he described autobiographically in The Pilgrimage. His works have been published across 170 countries, in eighty-three languages and have sold over 320 million copies. On 22nd December 2016, Coelho was declared as number 2 of the top 200 most influential contemporary authors.

The Warrior of the Light, originally published in 1997, in Portuguese, highlights the global themes ingrained in all our lives - choices, obligations, victories, defeats; it contains an abundance of short stories and fables which invite readers to dive into the depths of themselves whilst truly embodying life to its fullest and facing head on whatever that may include.

Here, Coehlo utilises various cultures and sources to present his message; from the Art of War to the Holy Bible, he accentuates themes of compassion, morality, utilitarianism and fulfilling one’s destiny. He crafts a way of life for the warrior of light; providing an honest, humble path to the acknowledgment of the world’s spiritual elements whilst simultaneously working through the anxiety, discouragement and fear one may experience.

The beginning and end of this novel sets a clear and continuous storyline whereby a mysterious woman explains the rules for a “warrior of the light” to a man on a journey who is writing them down, therefore the rest of this work is depicts the results of that transaction.
