Surah Al-Ma'idah is the fifth chapter of the Quran, with 120 verses. It is believed to have been revealed in Medina, rather than Mecca. The chapter covers topics such as animals that are forbidden, Jesus and Moses' missions, and the prohibition of alcohol in verse 90. The English translation of Surah Al-Maidah is "The Table spread with food" or "The Law of Allah lest you go astray." It is also referred to as "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."
