Rick Joyner Rants on Mike Bickle Scandal and Allegations. Ricky Joyner is the founder of Mourningstar Ministries now run by Chris Reed. Mike Bickle was accused of Sexual Misconduct at ihopkc. So Rick Joyner Responds to the Mike Bickle Allegations. And comes forward to defend his Friend Mike Bickle. We are going to take a look at Rick's response. A video which has been taken down. I will point out a few things I found a bit surprising about his response. And review his response. We are also going to take a look at his apology that came later. He compares Mike Bickle's situation to King David. Not sure this was a good example. We should rarely think we can compare ourselves to bible figures. Again King David was forgiven by God and somehow was allow to stay in ministry. It should be noted that David wasn't a Pastor. But a government official. God forgave David of his sin but he didn't remove the consequences. But dealt with the consequences till his death bead.

But the biggest head scratcher of this analogy. Something that many Charismatic preachers do. Use Old Testament scriptures to back things up
When the New Testament clear gives instructions on the matter .

Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons
3 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a]respect.5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil.7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.

So we see here their are qualifications for those who are overseers
Not everyone can and should lead. And if they cannot live up to the standards of leadership they should be removed. So if David was leading in the New Testament church he would have to sit down for a while.
