So we know that a healthy brain is crucial for a happy and healthy life, but how much control of it’s functionality do we actually have?

In our fast-paced modern world, with all the sensationalism and "fake news" out there, what are the gold nuggets, and the most important handfuls of information when it comes to healthy brain practices we get to do, and how do these practices relate to our wellness, in us having more energy, and in letting go of old weight?

So this is a really fun story as to how Dr. Sullivan is coming on the show today, I was a moderating a speaker panel at the Fitness Tech Summit at CES in Las Vegas earlier this year (by the way did you know I host another show called the Fitness + Technology podcast, search on iTunes for that, and for all the fitness coaches and trainers listening, you’ll dig that show because we explore the intersection of fitness + technology and how the fitness industry is changing faster in the next 5 years than in the previous 50 where I interview companies like Fitbit, Under Armour, and many more dynamic personalities.

Ok I digressed, Dr. John Sullivan, I met with the Muse team, they make the brain sensing headband (which if you’ve been listening to the WFR show, you know is the only way I meditate) and sparked a conversation with Dr. Sullivan about brain health which lead to an hour long chat in person and eventually reading his book which totally rocked my world, called "the brain always wins”

Now we’ve talked on the show about brain health and especially in episode 96 with Daniel Schmachtenberger, but what I love most about the book "The Brain Always Wins" was that Dr. Sullivan took all these massively complex pieces and distilled them down to a really easy to understand and engaging section-by-section type reading experience.

This was one of the major reasons why I’m bringing him on the show because I know that in the ocean of information out there, cutting to the tangible and tactical things we can do can be challenging.
