Jeezy, Nia Long discuss love, infidelity amid their respective splits

Rapper Jeezy sat down with Nia Long for a vulnerable conversation about their respective divorces and self-love.

Jeezy filed to end his marriage to Jeannie Mai in September in Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County. The filing said "the marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken" and "there is no hope for reconciliation."

Speaking broadly about love and family, Jeezy, 46, told Long, 53, in a video shared on his YouTube channel Tuesday that he "can't honestly tell you that I've experienced love, especially not unconditional."

The "Put On" rapper added that he prefers to keep many of the details of their split private.

Jeezy says he and Jeannie Mai tried therapy prior to their relationship ending.

Jeezy admitted that he and Mai tried therapy to save their marriage, but it was not enough. "I can only do what I can do. I can't expect someone else to do what I'm doing," he said.

On Oct. 19, he broke his silence on the couple's split, telling People and E! News in a statement that "The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart. Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart."
