In this video I replace a broken Incabloc setting in an ETA 2783 wristwatch movement using a Seitz tool with accessory Incabloc pushers and anvils. This is the first time that I used my new vintage Seitz tool and Incabloc pushers and anvils so it's a long video (as many of mine are), but I did manage to do the repair and that's what it's all about!

chapter index:
00:00:00 introduction - the plan is to replace the broken incabloc spring on an ETA 2783
00:00:53 prepping the movement and movement holder for the work
00:03:01 removing the automatic winding oscillating weight
00:08:30 removing the automatic winding geared mechanism / plate
00:11:30 removing the balance assembly complete
00:14:00 removing the pallet fork bridge
00:17:18 examining the pallet fork pivots after accidentally dropping it 😭
00:17:57 preparing to use the Seitz tool to remove the incabloc setting now that it can be accessed
00:28:50 finally actually punching out the incabloc setting using the Seitz tool and special incabloc punch and anvil
00:32:02 examining the remains of the broken incabloc spring that I'll be replacing
00:33:56 attaching the new spring to the incablock setting
00:37:10 choosing the incabloc punch and anvil to reinsert the incabloc setting into the baseplate
00:40:40 setting up the Seitz tool and the movement for the reinsertion of the incabloc setting - can't get the punch out of the Seitz tool! 😭
00:42:32 using a pin vice to carefully pull the punch out of the tool
00:45:05 checking the three candidate punches for size and then picking the wrong one 😭
00:49:14 finally actually pushing the setting back into the movement
00:52:52 examining the damage to the setting resulting from using the wrong size punch
00:56:14 deciding that it looks fine and to complete the reassembly to find out for sure 🙏🏼
00:59:55 placing the pallet fork and pallet fork bridge back in the movement
01:03:58 putting the jewel assembly back in the repaired incabloc setting
01:06:28 putting the balance assembly complete back in the movement
01:11:17 putting the automatic winding works back on the movement
01:14:31 putting the automatic winding oscillating weight back on the movement
01:16:52 admiring my work, cleaning up, and putting the movement away for later use in a watch!
