Today God is showing mercy to the Gentiles.
Paul is talking about nations or groups that God elected for service, not individual salvation.
It is by God's grace that He gives us His Son's Spirit when we believe the gospel (1 Cor. 15:3, 4).
God sovereignly decided by whom the nation's seed-line to Messiah would come because He knew they would be believers.
God is not unrighteous because He has a new agency, the body of Christ. He will yet accomplish His promises and purpose for Israel.
