“War Zone Prayer” was written in February 2023 and was intended to prick the consciences of our fellow Americans into standing against further U.S. funding for the tragic war in Ukraine, with the further hope that western leaders might be compelled to broker a peace agreement with Russia. We commissioned the above music video in August 2023 and finished our master recording of this song over the past several weeks.

In the meantime, we were horrified by the October 7th terrorist attacks, and we mourned for our Jewish brothers and sisters. We are likewise shocked by the ongoing suffering, death, and destruction currently being inflicted on the residents of Gaza. And on a personal level, our little song has become even more poignant for us due to the fact that two of the incredible musicians we were fortunate enough to work with on this recording are Israeli citizens.

We dedicate this song to ALL who are victims, casualties, and refugees enduring armed conflicts between nations, including BOTH Ukrainians and Russians, Israelis and Palestinians, Armenians and Azerbaijanis, as well as the millions currently trapped in catastrophic civil wars, such as the peoples of Ethiopia, Haiti, Nigeria, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and so many others.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

We urge everyone around the world to pray for peace, practice nonviolent resistance, and contact their leaders to DEMAND an end to all aggression. Please make your voices heard RIGHT NOW by saying “NO” to a third world war — before it is too late.
