Cranberry Oat Scones - Low Calorie Dessert Ideas
Looking for a low calorie dessert ideas? These low calorie cranberry oat scones are quick to make and so good! They are a perfect low calorie dessert or breakfast idea. These scones are half oat and half flour mix, very little sugar and have buttermilk instead of heavy whipping cream which makes them much lighter in texture as well as calories;) Dried cranberry adds additional sweetness. This is by far my favorite scones recipe.
Ingredients
- 8 tbs cold butter
- 160 g cold buttermilk
- 1.5 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 oz granulated sugar
- 1 oz monkfruit sweetener (or just sugar if you prefer) - you can buy here: https://amzn.to/2zhNbwU
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 oz dried cranberries
Bake at 375 F for 18 minutes
