Liberals table bill to ban "scab" workers in federal workplaces during strikes

The federal Liberals have tabled legislation which would ban employers from hiring replacement workers, also known as “scabs,” during strikes in federally regulated industries.

The major change to Canada's labour code will affect almost one million employees and follows several recent instances of strike action across the country.

As Touria Izri reports, it’s a core demand of the NDP's supply-and-confidence deal supporting the Liberal minority government.
