According to the White House, Israel has agreed to four-hour daily pauses in Gaza. This will allow civilians to flee the area. President Biden told reporters that there was "no possibility" of a formal cease-fire at the moment. According to National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, the daily humanitarian pause would be announced at least three hours in advance. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked by President Biden to start the daily pauses on Monday. Biden told reporters "It's taken a little longer than I hoped."
