Today Is The 48th Anniversary Of The Sinking Of The Edmund Fitzgerald

Today, Friday, November 10th marks the 48th Anniversary of the sinking of the Edm
und Fitzgerald, and at 7 p.m. this evening the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum will pay tribute to the lives lost with their annual event at the Whitefish Point Lighthouse in the Upper Peninsula.

November 10th, 1975, the Fitzgerald went down in Lake Superior just 17 miles from Whitefish Point, taking all 29 lives.
