Purge Out the Leaven of Malice and Wickedness

Sin in a local church spreads like leaven or yeast in a lump of dough. As a church and as individuals we must avoid sinful influences that can lead us and others to sin. So the church must purge out or remove the malice and wickedness leaving the influence of sincerity and truth. The purpose of discipline in a local church is, not just to motivate the sinful brother to repent, but also to remove the harmful influence and keep the church pure.
