Buffalo Chicken Sandwich recipe:
Ingredients:
1. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2. Salt and pepper to taste
3. For chicken coating : 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1 tsp granulated garlic.
5. 1 egg
6. 1 tablespoon milk or water
7. 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
8. 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
9. 2 sturdy sandwich rolls, ciabatta or your favorite bread.
10. 1 cup Coleslaw
11. Pickles
12. Ranch dressing
13. 2 slices Aged Gouda and 2 slices Pepper Jack cheese.
Instructions:
1. Prep Chicken: Flatten the chicken breasts using a mallet or rolling pin until they’re about 1/2-inch thick. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Dredging Station: In one shallow dish, combine flour and cornstarch. In a second shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk (or water) and breadcrumbs in a third.
3. Dip and Fry: Dip each chicken breast first into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated, then into the flour mixture, pressing it onto the chicken to adhere. Repeat egg and dip into breadcrumbs. Fry the chicken in a skillet with oil over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
4. Buffalo Sauce: While the chicken is frying, combine the buffalo hot sauce and melted butter in a bowl. Stir until well combined.
5. Coat the Chicken: Once the chicken is cooked, immediately dip each piece into the buffalo sauce mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
6. Assemble Sandwich: Top toasted bread with ranch , pickles, chicken, cheese(melted with torch), coleslaw.
Then top with the other half of the bun.
