Creamy Mushroom Steak Sandwich🍄🥪

Ingredients:
For sandwich:
1. Steak (Ribeye, Sirloin or yours favourite one)
2. Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary)
3. Fresh garlic
4. Smoky Salt, pepper.
5. Multigrain Bread, Ciabatta or Sourdough (any type will work 👌🏻)
6. 2-3 slices Raclette cheese.
7. Fresh arugula
For mushroom sauce:
1. 2 cups of Bella (Baby Bella or Cremini) mushrooms, sliced.
2. 3 medium-sized shallots, thinly sliced
3. 1 cup heavy cream
4. 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
5. 1/2 cup red wine
6. 2 tbsp all purpose flour
7. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
8. Salt and pepper, to taste
9. Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.
Instructions:
For Mushroom Sauce:
1. Prep: Wash/slice mushrooms and shallots.
2. Sauté shallots in oil/butter until translucent (2-3 min).
3. Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned (5-7 min). Stir in 2 tbsp flour.
4. Add red wine, scraping pan. Reduce by half (3-4 min). Add 2 tbsp Worcestershire.
5. Stir in cream. Simmer until thickened (3-4 min). Thin with wine/broth if needed.
6. Adjust seasoning, then remove from heat.
For Sandwich:
1. Let steak sit at room temp (20-30 min). Season both sides.
2. Cook steak in oil, butter, herbs, garlic (3-5 min/side). Rest a few minutes.
3. Slice steak against grain.
4. Toast buttered multigrain bread.
5. Assemble sandwich, melt cheese. Enjoy!
