UPSC-Union Public Service Commission exam details

The UPSC exam is of three stages :
A) Prelims exam:
The minimum qualifying marks for the UPSC Preliminary Examination vary by category, with General candidates requiring a minimum of 88.22/200 marks, SC candidates with 74.08/200 marks, ST candidates with 69.35/200 marks, and OBC candidates with 87.54/200 marks.
B) Mains exam:
The minimum marks required to qualify for the UPSC Mains examination vary by category, with General candidates needing 736/1750 marks, EWS candidates requiring 687.1750 marks, OBC candidates needing 698/1750 marks, SC candidates needing 680/1750 marks , and ST candidates needing 682/1750 marks.The candidates are selected on the basis of total marks secured in Main Examinations and Interview. UPSC selections are purely on merit combined with Quota.
