If you’re struggling to read the Bible

"Lord, I come into your presence with thanksgiving and praise. You are Almighty, God, king of kings, Lord of lords. Lord, I know your desire for me is to have a desire for your word, a desire to spend time in it. To soak it all in. I confess that I’m having trouble with even wanting to read it. Life feels busy, stressful, and exhausting. But your word tells me to come to you and ask you for help. So Lord, I pray and ask that by your Holy Spirit, you would give me a greater desire to want to be in your word. I pray that you would give me a hunger for it. Help me to get in your word even when I don’t want to until it becomes something I desire doing. Help me to regularly get in your presence. If there’s anything in my life distracting me or keeping me busy in an ungodly way that isn’t allowing me to get in your word, I pray you will reveal it and help me to shift things around.

You have not asked me to strive, but to give everything to you. So that is what I am doing today. I am weak and needy, and can’t do anything without you. Thank you Lord for always listening, and loving me where I’m at. I praise your name, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
