Team YouTube has done another system change, and now certain ad-blocker apps do not work when using YouTube if you are a Google Chrome user.
There has been an increase in advertisements since the last update on YouTube, which is another marketing move to try and get YouTube users to switch to YouTube Premium; a subscription where you pay $9.99 USD to $11.99 USD monthly to avoid ads and download videos.

One of the ad-block companies, AdGuard, reported 11,000 people uninstalling their app each day since October 9, since the average 6,000 before Team YouTube made the changes. On October 18, 18,000 people uninstalled the ad-block.
However, the paid version increased in users went up.

Another company, Ghostery, reported a flat number of installs and uninstalls in October.
90% of people who uninstalled the app was because the app was not applicable with YouTube, shown through a survey.
Although the app doesn't work through Google Chrome, it does work through other networks such as Microsoft Edge, as Ghostery reports an installation of their app increased by 30%.

YouTube Premium now has a price increase from $11.99 USD to a $2 increase to $14 monthly.
This won't be a good resolution for YouTube users, as they will use other media systems.
