Conquistador by Procol Harum ~ See this Song as a Parable about Jesus Christ...

Conquistador, like virtually ALL Procol Harum Songs, is a very difficult song to make Sense of...people have tried for Decades trying to Solve the Riddle without coming close to an accurate Decode; but, making sense of this Song isn't that hard, once you Realize that, like most things, it is Biblically based...Show more

The Narrator of the Song is Procol Harum's Brilliant Lyricist, Keith Reid, and the Song represents his Spiritual Journey to Innerstand the difference between the Two Conquistadors...One is a Butcher and a Tyrant, using Force to Take from the Land, regardless of who else was using the Resource; this is someone who Knows No Spiritual Things, but rather 'Lives' solely upon the Physical Plain of Life and Death, Pleasure and Pain, and to that end, this Conquistador (Conqueror) Dominates and Uses Wombmen and the Sacred Feminine, rather than Loving and Nurturing it...while the other Conquistador, is a Spiritual Tour de Force, One who goes WITHIN one's self in search of Higher Meaning and Purpose, in search of God...and once this is Known, then the 'Riddle' of the Song reveals itself Line by Line...that what Keith Reid was so famously speaking to within the song, is The Son of Man, Jesus Christ...and that Reid, a self-proclaimed 'Jew', first came to 'Jeer' at and Disclaim as yet another Conquering Religious Figure that Divided Lands and tore Worlds apart...

However, within the confines of the Song, we see is that Reid, by using the METAPHOR of the Conquistador, began to INNERSTAND this Messiah of the Jews, as NOT a Physical Warrior of Might, Possessions and Wordly Power, rather, a CONQUEROR of the Human Mind, one who had Defeated his Inner Demon, which for all of us, is the Ego of the Left Brain...and that THIS Conquistador wasn't after Earthly Treasures, rather HEAVENLY Ones, by going within himself...and this is why during the song, Reid began to come Closer and Closer to Jesus Christ as a True Messiah and Savior, as he was The One who came to Show us this WAY to God, by going Within, and becoming the Conquistador of Darkness and Despair, LIGHTING the Way to Living, Heaven Upon Earth...

And when we begin to examine the song, Line by Line, Word by Word, it all starts to make sense...and by using the George Lucas Film, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull as the Video to the Song, it ties this 'Crystal Skull' into the TRUE Treasure Seeker, as the Greatest Treasure of them all is this Crystal Skull, a Parable for transforming one's own Mind from a Physical Graveyard, into a Fifth Dimensional Paradise of the Crystalline Realm that Nikola Tesla wrote so much about...

So, take some deep breaths, and then concentrate on the Lyrics to the song as you watch them from the perspective of the Indiana Jones Video, and begin to SEE how All Truth begins to make Sense from this Higher Perspective, that which is the Spirit or Soulful Realm of Father Heaven...
