In Initiation 4: We Sing, Alan Wake 2 players return to the Dark Place and things get a little musical.

The Performance

Although the scene before players may seem very familiar to the start of Initiation 1: Late Night, things will play out much more differently now that Alan is more in control of the nightmare he is stuck in. Wait for the TV to become interactable and then hold down the button that is prompted.

While Alan may claim he is more in control, this becomes debatable as players witness a musical unfold before them. Just keep moving forward and... enjoy the show. If players are stuck or feel overwhelmed by the sheer sensory overload of this scene, the live actors in the scene will periodically point in a direction. This is where players need to go.

Upon reaching the end of this area, interact with the TV to progress the story. Players then find themselves at an award ceremony that is also a musical, of course. Go towards the back left of the room to find a large ladder. Walk along the catwalk towards the dead end and use the Angel Lamp to take the light. This reveals a path forward. Go down the ladder and follow this path to find a flashlight on the ground along with a gun.

While it may seem like players are out of the studio, that is not the case. Keep moving forward and follow lit up neon signs for Getaway Club. They eventually lead to a lamp post with a light that can be taken by the Angel Lamp. Head back toward the Taxi and insert the light to make a TV appear. Interact with the TV to enter yet another musical scene.

Follow the path forward once the gate opens and look for a ladder that goes up. Just like earlier, the live actors will occasionally point the way. At the top of the ladder, players will see a replica of the Writer's Room along with a typewriter and the flare gun. The path opens once players have acquired the flare gun.

At this point, players will need to fight some Taken. They won't have enough batteries to break all the shields, but the flare gun can kill a taken with a single shot. If players can get Taken to group up, a single shot from the flare gun can kill multiple Taken at once. There are several red boxes along the way, allowing players to be well stocked with both batteries and ammo.

Back in the Studio

Keep moving along the path to reach another replica of the Writer's Room. Interact with the TV in the room to end up back in the studio. Go through the door ahead and activate the Echo to trigger a new musical number. Go forward and go up the impossibly long ladder to come across a storyboard for the Herald of Darkness. Place the Song's End storythread onto the scene to spawn a TV that can be interacted with.

After one final live-action musical scene, the show finally comes to an end. Walk past Ahti as he mumbles the lyrics to the song from earlier. Unfortunately, there is no option to talk to him. Go towards the exit sign. On the right, there will be a save point and an area where players can switch over to Saga if they wish. This walkthrough will focus on Alan's side of the story for now so instead save the game and head toward the door. This leads outside. As Alan monologues, head toward the ringing payphone.

Go to the Oceanview Hotel

After speaking with the mysterious caller, look to the left for the giant neon sign that says: "Oceanview Hotel" and go towards it. Enter the hotel and go down the hallway. If this feels too easy, that is because it is.

Any attempt to enter the hotel from this direction ends in failure and players just end up at the entrance to the hotel. Leave the hotel and look for a neon sign that says "Mirror Peak Bar". Follow the arrows. From here, go right down the alley to trigger a cutscene that ends the current chapter.
