11/7/23 card: courage

Someone (Mark Twain?) said, “Courage is not the lack of fear. It is acting in spite of it.” I struggle with speaking up when I feel disrespected or taken advantage of. It takes tremendous courage for me to speak my truth clearly and calmly. But I notice when I do, that the thing I was afraid of rarely happens. This encourages me to keep doing it. We can do hard things!
