PREPARATION FOR COP28: UGANDA COMMUNICATES HER NEGOTIATING POSITION AHEAD OF THE COP28 IN DUBAI
Uganda has stressed the need for developed countries to honor their pledge and commitment towards financing for climate change programs for adaptation and mitigation.
The 1st Deputy Prime minister and minister for East African Community Affair Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga says time is now for developed countries to walk the talk of financing environmental restoration programs as well as empowering least developed countries to cope with climate change impacts.
Rt. Hon. Kadaga made these remarks while officiating at the National COP28 Forum that was hosted at the ministry of water and Environment; attended by representatives of government ministries, departments and agencies, of the national negotiators, civil society organizations and development partners.
