Even if all of Hamas can be destroyed, what happens next? The roots of this conflict lie in the illegal occupation, the constant violation of human rights, the building of illegal settlements, the disrespect for UN resolutions and international law. And if not dealt with, you can kill a fighter, but you can't kill an idea. And in the ruins of the destroyed buildings, another group will arise, more determined and motivated to do what Hamas has been doing. So I think Israel needs to realize once and for all that if it wants security, the surest way is peaceful. Even the strongest army, or the most effective intelligence services, or Iron Dome, or the fence wall will not give Israel security, but peace will. And I believe that this is the way to go now.
