The Thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Tiger or Tasmanian Wolf, was an extinct marsupial predator native to Tasmania, Australia, and New Guinea. With its wolf-like appearance and unique pouch for carrying young, it was a remarkable example of convergent evolution. Sadly, due to habitat loss and hunting, the Thylacine became extinct in the 20th century, and it is now an iconic symbol of wildlife conservation and extinction awareness.
