Nearly 90,000 letters are being mailed to Michigan parents with high school students to share that children have the potential to be successful in a tough Advanced Placement course and to earn college credit while in high school.
The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is one of only two states partnering with the College Board to use the Advanced Placement (AP) Potential Tool that identifies students who are likely to score a 3 or higher on a given AP exam.
Scoring a 3 or higher on an AP exam can qualify high school students to receive college credit while in high school.
