🦌 NW NC at The Treehouse 🌳 This is Lady’s fawn Penny and the smallest of the five fawns born this year. They are all 7 months old and becoming hard to distinguish from the adults except her. When Lady comes in the middle of the night for some affection, Penny is watching from a distance. Over time all of Lady’s fawns learn to trust me because they see me with their mom and eventually they will approach me. I still don’t pet anyone except Lady because I didn’t know any better 28 months ago and none are desensitized to humans 🦌 Hattie and Penny are sisters. They all spawned from Lady, then all without fail, give birth every year. Lady has had two males already. Whiskers 2 years ago and Scamp last year. They visit when no one is around and sit right below me on the mezzanine in the front yard. Mind you I’m smoking, headphones on volume all the way up, and feet drumming on the deck. 😂 2 of the 5 fawns this year are male. Gizmo and Squiggy
