3rd Amendment Was About Mass Surveillance

The purpose of the third amendment was to ban the surveillance state because that’s what the redcoats were doing when they were assigned to live inside the houses of the American colonial patriots. It was a form of terror, surveillance, and state intimidation of any possible dissent and nonconformance.

It’s not because the most powerful empire in the world at the time was unable to construct barracks, camps, or other housing for their troops. It’s because they wanted the troops to spy on and intimidate The Americans.
