How the Consumerist Culture Pushing Flouride Expanded Into the Industrial Military Complex

In 1947, fluoridation of our nation’s drinking was government policy.

The mechanisms, sales pitch, and bureaucracy to impose the new policy were in place well before they began to pitch drinking water fluoridation to the masses in the early 1950s.

We can imagine a strategy to marginalize and discredit dissidents was also devised well in advance.

It would have been a fairly simple strategy based on the Freudian concept of man's need to be part of the herd - marginalizing a dissident and their primal instinct to belong would bring them back into compliance with the group consciousness.

“Because man is by nature gregarious he feels himself to be a member of a herd, even when he is alone in his room with the curtains drawn. His mind retains the patterns which have been stamped on it by the group influences.” Quote from the book 'Propaganda' by Edward Bernays, 1928.

Bernays also wrote 'Crystallizing Public Opinion' (1923) and 'A Public Relations Counsel (1927) - all 3 books lay out Bernays' eerily prescient vision for using propaganda to regiment the collective mind in a variety of areas, including government, politics, art, science, and education.

To read these books today is to frightfully comprehend what our contemporary institutions of government and business have become regarding organized manipulation of the masses.

Once the government took notice of Barnays' works, it was not long before the Industrial Military Complex became a reality.
