Space Pioneer Katherine Johnson Building Name Dedication

As of my last knowledge update in 2022, there have been various efforts to honor the legacy of the pioneering mathematician Katherine Johnson. Katherine Johnson was a key figure at NASA, known for her exceptional contributions to the United States' space program, including her work on calculating the trajectories for numerous space missions, including the historic Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

Several buildings and facilities have been named after Katherine Johnson to recognize her groundbreaking work and lasting impact on space exploration and science. One notable example is the dedication of the Katherine G. Johnson Computational Research Facility at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, which was named in her honor in 2017.
